These examples of our activities and programs are from before GVSU’s campus closed in March 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. After that date, our programs shifted to an on line small group for students and on line weekly prayer.
Social Justice Table
Weekly during the academic year our students are in Kirkhof Center with a table designed to help students interact with a social justice issue. Past tables have focused on food insecurity, immigration and refugees, LGBTQ inclusion, and human trafficking.

Bible Study
Each semester students decide what they want to study.

Meals and Conversation
We host monthly dinners for students.

Service
Recent service opportunities included, volunteering at “Wear the Rainbow”, co hosting “Beating Guns”, distributing final exam treat bags, serving at Justice for Our Neighbors, helping at a local thrift store in support their mission with refugees and participating in Interfaith gatherings and vigils
Social Events
Examples of social events- Playing Apples to Apples outside Kleiner Commons to welcome new students, making apple cider, and pumpkin carving.

Listening Post
Along with our ministry partner, True North Campus Ministry, we provide the Listening Post a safe space for non judgmental, compassionate listening. Each week of the academic year the Listening Post is staffed by trained volunteers and available to students, faculty and staff at GRCC. New volunteers are always welcome.
